Starting in the Philippines
“We should dothat sometime.”

Gimik is for the plans you keep meaning to make. Keep the things you want to do, see who already wants the same, and give one of them a day. That is the entire app.
Coming soonFree, with nothing to buy. See everything it does

Everyone has the list.
Nobody has the date.
The ideas survive. They sit in group chats, in notes apps, in the back of a conversation you had two years ago. What never happens is the part where someone picks a day. Gimik is the app for that part.
How it works
Three steps, and the third one is the whole point.
01 — Keep
Everything you keep meaning to do, in one place.
Start from a catalogue of things other people are actually doing, or write your own. Keeping one costs nothing and commits you to nothing — that is the point. A list you are not afraid to add to is a list you will actually use.
- Browse by category, or search
- Add your own someday, private by default
- Keep as many as you like, with no date attached

02 — Match
See who already wants the same thing.
The overlap between your list and the people you know was always there. Gimik is just the first thing that shows it to you — so the ask stops being “would you ever want to…” and starts being “you already do”.
- See which friends kept the same someday
- Ask one person, or open it to a group
- Invites expire after a week, so nothing rots in a list

03 — Lock
Give it a date and it stops being someday.
This is the whole product in one action. A someday with a date leaves the maybe pile and becomes a plan with a day, a place and the people who said yes — sorted soonest first, so the next real thing is always at the top.
- Pick a day everyone can make
- Locked plans sort soonest first
- Unlock it again if life moves

And then
A date is the start of it, not the end.
Once a plan is real it needs somewhere to live — a thread, the people in it, and something left over afterwards.

The conversation lives with the plan.
Every plan gets its own thread, every group gets one, and you can message a friend directly. Nothing about Friday is three weeks up a group chat, because the thread and the date are the same object.

For the people you always mean to see.
A group is a small standing cast — the ones you keep saying you should do something with. Share a link to bring people in, then let Gimik surface the somedays the group already has in common.

The part a calendar throws away.
When a plan happens it becomes a record rather than disappearing. Write what it was actually like, add photos, and keep it. Over a year the record is the answer to “what did we even do?” — which is the question the whole app exists to fix.
Who sees what
Every someday carries its own ring.
Not one privacy setting for the whole account — one per thing you keep, changeable whenever you want.
- Just meNobody sees it. A list you are not performing.
- FriendsThe people you have actually added.
- GroupsOnly the groups you are in.
- EveryoneOpen, so people already going can join.
Journal entries are private unless you share one, and you can delete your account from inside the app. Read the privacy policy

The short answers.
- What is Gimik?
- Gimik is an app for the plans you keep meaning to make. You write down anything you have said “we should do that” about. Gimik shows you who else wants the same thing. It becomes real the moment you give it a date.
- How is Gimik different from a group chat or a shared note?
- A chat loses the idea and a note never gets a date. Gimik keeps the idea, shows the overlap between people, and turns it into a plan with a day on it — then gives that plan its own thread, so the conversation lives with the date instead of scrolling away.
- Do I need friends on Gimik for it to be useful?
- No. A new account works alone. You browse a catalogue of somedays, keep the ones you want, and lock a date on your own. Matching adds to that once people you know join.
- Is Gimik free?
- Yes. Gimik is free. There is no subscription, no paid tier, and nothing to buy inside the app.
- Who can see what I add?
- You choose per someday. Every one carries a ring — just you, friends, your groups, or everyone — and you can change it at any time. Your journal entries are private unless you share one.
- Can I message people in Gimik?
- Yes. Every locked plan gets its own thread, groups have their own, and you can message a friend directly. Messages arrive in real time.
- What happens after a plan actually happens?
- It becomes a record. You can write what it was like and add photos, and it stays in your journal — the part a calendar app throws away once the date passes.
- Can I delete my account?
- Yes, from Settings, without emailing anyone. Deleting removes your profile, your somedays, your plans and your messages.
- Where is Gimik available?
- Gimik launches in the Philippines, on iPhone and Android, in English. More countries follow.
